Question:
Satan keeps whispering thoughts to me that make me question the existence of Allah. I always try my best to push these thoughts away. Why am I having these kinds of thoughts, and how can I get rid of them?
May Allah reward you with all good on our behalf.
Answer:
In The Name of Allah The Most Gracious The Most Merciful and may peace and blessings be upon the best of messengers, Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, the truthful, the trustworthy, who fulfilled his promises.
Dear brother, Satan may try to provoke the heart of the believer by tempting and testing him through these kinds of thoughts.
When the companions complained to the prophet PBUH about experiencing similar thoughts, the prophet PBUH praised them and referred to this as "explicit faith".
He PBUH referred to it in this way because their hearts rejected those thoughts immediately, and they returned to Tawheed.
However, if you feel that your faith is weak to begin with, then you should strengthen it by reciting Quran, reflecting on its meanings, and reading the prophetic Sunnah.
In addition, stay away from readings and thoughts that plant seeds of doubt. Attend religious gatherings more often, keep the company of religious people, and Allah will take care of you.
Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds
